The purpose of the retreat is to “nurture” the artist present in us, whether you are an experienced painter or a raw beginner. The space is created for you to explore your painting, develop your color palette and explore the freedom of just having time to create.
PAINTING CLASSES
The amazing environment of the Art Village of Vence feeds your artistic soul and provides the freedom to create in a space provided to blossom and find clarity. The teachers will tailor the tutoring to your artistic needs with a Plein Air group and studio group alternating.
PLEIN AIR PAINTING: The amazing location, light and magic of Mas du Claoux is so 
conducive to Plein Air studies, one can simply stay around the house and paint the landscape, flowers or different architectural features. The more adventuresome can hike the trails, and paint the cascading ponds, and waterfalls under a canopy of fresh leaves. Or you can simply paint in the cobbled streets of Vence or the surrounding villages like St Paul or Tourette sur Loup.
STUDIO/GALLERY: It is on the secluded “place Godeau” that the Studio/gallery is located. Amongst its stone walls the artists will participate in painting lessons or quality time to work on their own piece.
EXHIBIT OF THE WEEK’S WORK; Participation is strongly encouraged for Friday evening’s special exhibit of the week’s work. You will meet and converse with local artists, share experience and stories.
